ACADEMICS:
Every child shall be made aware of the goals and standards that are expected to be accomplished in every subject.
·It is expected that with the help of the teacher, every pupil will become aware of the goal he/she is set to achieve in every subject within a given period or term or for a smaller period of time.
· Every child is encouraged to do his/her best in all areas.
· Continuous assessment and evaluation shall be made not for “grades or ranks” but to encourage high learning performances.
· Focus is not on the grade but on the process that takes place as the child learns and has reached maximum learning goals.
· Children are encouraged to learn as much materials as possible
· Collaborative activities shall be given to encourage each child to work with others to achieve a set goal.
1. Assignments: It is expected that the child has to accomplish assigned tasks from the simplest to the most complex.
2. Homework
· Progress reports are given to parents at every end of a grading term. Foour grading periods per school-year.
· We grade for LEARNING thus the reports cards are not a basis for ranking students or comparing them with other students. Grades are used to help each child compare his/her own learning to the desired standards which is the product and the desired behavior which is the process.

Student shows mastery & high level of performance in all the skills & concepts
Sc=Secure
Student shows mastery and high level of performance in most of the skills and concepts.
Dv=Developing
Student usually needs supervision. Basic skills and concepts are developing towards mastery.
Bg=Beginning
Student is starting to show basic level of performance in all the skills &concepts with close supervision.

- Homework is designed to reinforce skills & concepts already taught. Understanding policy on homework and cooperating with the teacher to the fullest extent possible will help to get the most value from homework
- Parents will be asked to sign every home work given to their child to assure that the home is aware of the requirements and tasks assigned.
- Home works are to be accomplished by the child with minimal adult supervision. Only the child should do or accomplish his/her homework. Parents are encouraged to write their comments, reaction or feedback on the homework.
