Scope of First Term Assessment SY 2009-2010
August 13-14, 2009
Preschool will have their first term assessment on September 17-18, 2009 since their school year is divided into 3 terms only.
EARLY LEARNERS (GR. 1 & 2 )
Type of assessment: Individualized assessment 35-40 minutes *Each pupil will be given individual test schedules. During this time, there will be no regular classes. Each pupil will only to attend their given schedule. Parents or guardians will have to wait outside the classroom for the child until she/he finishes the test. Regular classes will resume on August 17, 2009. AREAS TO ASSESS: 1. Vocabulary skills (English & Filipino) 2. Decoding skills (English & Filipino) (Oral reading to check child's fluency & decoding strategy) 3. Comprehension skills 4. Writing skills 5. Logical/ analytical skills 6. Number Concepts
Type of assessment: Group and individualized assessment (particularly for the oral reading test) Half-day test for two days. *Each pupil will be assigned his/her own group schedule. Group 1 will join the test in the morning from 7:50 A.M.-12:00 noon. Group 2 will join the test in the afternoon from 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M..During this time, there will be no regular classes. Each pupil will only attend to their given schedule. Regular classes will resume on August 17, 2009. *Computer test coverage, please bottom page.
