Bridges Tutorial and Learning Center started in May 1993, as a purely tutorial center with only 10 students. Our center has slowly expanded its services with the opening of an inclusive learning friendly environment for preschool in 2001 and has expanded further to a full elementary school to the present.
VISIONOur vision is to promote a learning - friendly environment.
|
MissionOur mission is to facilitate and assist our students
to learn to live together, to know, to do and to be. |
Philosophy
Every child's potential can be fully developed.
InclusionInclusion is a way of thinking and acting that demonstrates universal acceptance and promotes a sense of belonging for all learners.
|
INCLUSIVE EDUCATIONInclusive education means that all students attend and are welcomed in age-appropriate, regular classes and are supported to learn, contribute and participate in all aspects of the life of the school.
|
In line with our philosophy, BTLC promotes an inclusive education. One way to do this is by forming a more heterogeneous (multilevel grouping) set-up where a community is created inside the classroom. This means that we do not simply offer multilevel classes in the Preschool to Grade 2 (Nursery/Kinder combined/ Gr. 1 & 2 combined in one class) but throughout our organization, students, teachers, administrators and parents are sharing decision making and working together to make a positive difference in the communities where we live and work.
Inclusion is belonging.
Together, we journey through the road of meaningful learning experiences
that develops and enriches the human potential.
