Pink was Danica's favorite color. And before there was pink, we started learning about red, blue & yellow (primary colors). Then we added orange, purple & green. Color discrimination together with shapes, has been an important skill that needs to be mastered before children would even start discriminating letters. That's why in preschool, we do not teach reading but more of exploring various materials during play. Children are exposed more to listening to short stories and nursery rhymes to enhance their vocabulary skills.
